A Frame For My Thoughts

Blue skies and angel songs

I need a frame for my thoughts

Dreams of love and happy throngs

A horizon for my world

Let’s see if the puzzle fits

A mountain peak for the sun to rise over

A throne where loneliness sits

A valley to harbour my dreams

A golden sun now shines for me

I want a frame for my hopes

And the moon smiles so gently

So I can hang them on the wall

In the silence of my lonely room

And when the stars and melodies fall

Above the roaring traffic’s boom

I’ll be as pretty as a picture

Sitting in the frame for my thoughts
