Little Haiku Dreams

A lonely mountain road

I push my old cart uphill

Square wheels stuck in ruts

.

Bundle on a stick

Was all that was once needed

To meet Destiny

.

At crossroads of life

Compass and sense not needed

Sat nav in pocket

.

Sun melting in sky

Night’s heralds come gliding out

Soft footsteps at dusk

.

Poet goes to sleep

Poems snuggle in their nests

Little haiku dreams

.

.
